Hi,
Thanks for visiting my personal website. I'm looking for full time or freelance radio work and as such have included some examples of my work over the last 6 years of working in the sports broadcasting industry. My initial experience came at Rutland Radio where I was the live sportsdesk presenter for 3 years (between 2003-2006). I then moved onto work for Sky News Radio where I freelanced on the Sports team, writing copy stories for all network stations, and presenting national network sports bulletins, and TalkSPORT bulletins. I am currently the commentator for Peterborough United's Soccersight scheme which provides full 90minute commentary to blind spectators via the RNIB. I also still work at Rutland Radio reporting live at games when not freelancing elsewhere. Rutland radio's website and my 'profile' (with a truly terrible picture!) is linked here.. http://www.rutlandradio.co.uk/sean.php?id=1048 Away from sport reporting, I also present a music show on Rutland Radio. This is the Rutland Chart / New music show every Saturday night at 6pm. I have also presented the popular "From Rutland with Love" Sunday smooch show (!), 'Nothing but the nineties' hour, and the New Year's eve Party night show. I've added some of my radio on the left hand side. There are 12 'studio' based reports ranging from bulletins on TalkSPORT, to the network classified check, and my Rutland Saturday Sportsdesk reports. There are then 17 live match reports for Rutland Radio (including some from 2-3 years ago) with reports mainly from Stamford AFC (Unibond League) games. There are also 13 music presenting clips, and also have added my appearance on Clips of the week (Hawksbee & Jacbos TalkSPORT), which wasn't my fault I hasten to add!!
I've also added 2 CVs via the links above. One is my professional CV which details my professional work I once did during the week (legal publishing) and the other shows my radio experience.
The main area of work i'm looking for in the radio industry is football based update / commentary work. I have a good knowledge of all sports but football is my forte. I wrote my University dissertation on football hooliganism / ethnicity in French Football and still hold a great knowledge of European football. I was a season ticket holder at Malaga CdeF for a year and still have subscriptions to French sport paper, L'Equipe and also the Spanish paper, Marca. I've also attended other games around Europe and now follow England wherever they play.. I've travelled to at least 1 game (mostly more) at Real Madrid, Inter Milan, Roma, Juventus, Barcelona, Rayo Vallecano, Sporting Lisbon, Grenoble FC, FC Lyon and Cordoba. I'm a member of EnglandFans and have seen England play at home tens of times, and away at Stade de Geneve (England v Argentina), Frankfurt (England V Paraguay), Nuremberg (England V Trinidad and Tobago), twice in Amsterdam (Holland V England 2007 / 2009), Barcelona (Andorra V England), Tel Aviv (Israel V England), Moscow (Russia V England), Vienna (Austria V England), Paris (France V England), Zagreb (Croatia V England), Minsk (Belarus V England), Berlin (Germany V England), Almaty (Kazakhstan V England), and Dnipro (Ukraine V England)
Anyway, do take a time to listen to my broadcasts on the left, do have a look at my CV, and if you're interested in using me at your station, please do get in touch via mobile 0772 595 2466
